Runaway Kids is an American hardcore band founded in 2005 under the name Betrayal . After several line-up changes, guitarist Sean Chamilian is the only remaining founding member of the band.
history
Runaway Kids was founded in 2005 under the name Betrayal by Brendan Foley (vocals), Sean Chamilian (guitar), Andrew Adolph (bass) and Cayle Sain (drums) in San Fernando , California . In July 2008, the band signed a contract with the Californian label Mediaskare Records . There the album The People's Fallacy was released, but only as a download via iTunes and the label shop.
In April 2011 the album Abandonment was released . In August 2011, the group toured with Bury Your Dead and For the Fallen Dreams by Europe . This tour went through Germany, Italy, Austria, Belgium and the United Kingdom.
Betrayal played on the Hell on Earth Tour in 2012 with Walls of Jericho , Death Before Dishonor and Hundredth . In October and November 2012 a tour of the United States followed as opening act for Vanna , who advertised their album The Few and the Far Between with this concert tour. Other groups taking part in the tour were Alpha & Omega and The Greenery . The US concert tour was called Home Is Where I Roam .
In August 2013, the group toured the eastern United States as co-headliners with King Conquer . Either Seeker or To Each His Own could be seen as opening act on selected shows . In October 2013, the band toured with Coldburn as support for Your Demise on their farewell tour through Germany, Belgium, Portugal and the Netherlands. The group is currently working on a new album.
In July 2014, drummer Toni Ramirez was arrested in Vancouver for possession and distribution of child pornography.
In March 2015, the band was renamed Runaway Kids.
style
Betrayal play hardcore that is partly influenced by metal . In the scene this fusion is called metalcore .
