King Conquer was a 2001 formed deathcore band from Naples , Florida .

history

King Conquer was founded in 2001 by the brothers Adam and Chris Whited under the name Dark Skies Have Fallen . The EP Conquer was released under this name in 2005 . The group later changed their name to A Horror Story and eventually King Conquer .

The group had to struggle with numerous changes in their line-up in the course of their career, so that the final band composition until the breakup of the group in 2019 consisted of singer James Mislow, guitarist Derick Caperton, and the two Whited brothers on bass and guitar . Drums consisted. The two former guitarists Brodie Wheeler and John Byrd both died in 2016 as a result of their drug addiction .

After the band released two self-directed EPs in 2008 and 2009, Welcome to Hell and Decomposing Normality , Mediaskare Records signed the group in 2010 and released the debut album Americas' Most Haunted in the same year. The release of the second album was announced for 2012 in 1776 , but the album was not released until the following year due to delays in production.

In their career, the band toured with Sworn In , The Last Ten Seconds of Life , Betrayal , Science of Sleep , Blind Witness , Suffokate , In Dying Arms and Here Comes the Kraken, mostly nationally.

style

At the beginning of their musical career, the group played classic metalcore . Later their style changed to deathcore , which also made it necessary to change the name of the band. The group uses the breakdowns , complicated riffs , violent growls and dissonant guitar playing typical of the music genre . The band processed political issues in their lyrics , among other things .
