In Dying Arms is a deathcore band from Baltimore , Maryland . It was founded in 2006 and temporarily dissolved eleven years later. In April 2020, the band announced their return.
history
In Dying Arms was founded in late 2006 in Baltimore , Maryland , United States . After several line-up changes, the first EP was released under the title This Is Retaliation in September 2009 . Today's lineup of the band consists of Orion Stephens ( vocals ), Justin Enriquez ( guitar ), John Myers (guitar), Terence Bright ( bass guitar ) and Alvin Richardson ( drums ).
After the group completed their first tour in January 2010, they signed with a music label shortly afterwards . In September of the same year, the debut album was released under the name Deprivation on Matchless Records , the label of former Chelsea Grin guitarist Chris Kilbourn.
After the album met with a great response within the underground scene, the first single was released in January 2011 under the name Delusions . The follow-up album followed in October, which the group named after the band itself, n Dying Arms . The group has played as an opener for bands like Motionless in White , Darkest Hour , In This Moment , As Blood Runs Black and Chelsea Grin .
In September and October 2011, the group toured the west coast of the United States supporting Volumes ( Mediaskare Records ) . In September 2012 the group will be seen together with The Last Ten Seconds of Life as King Conquer's support band on their “Devastation Of The Nation Tour”. At the beginning of the year, In Dying Arms played on selected shows with Dr. Acula on their US tour.
On July 7th, 2012 it was announced that the group had signed a record deal with Artery Recordings , where bands such as Chelsea Grin , For the Fallen Dreams and Vanna are or have been signed. On September 25, 2012, Boundaries was released worldwide. After the band had remained quiet for several years, it was announced on January 19, 2016 that they had signed a recording contract with Tragic Hero Records . At the same time, the fourth studio album called Original Sin was announced for April 1, 2016.
Three weeks after the second album, named after the band, was re-released in remastered form on October 13, 2017, the group announced their breakup. At the beginning of April 2020, singer Orion Stephens announced the group's comeback with a new line-up and a new single. With Noah Williamson and Andy Sapinkopf, two new guitarists and Nate White a new drummer were introduced.
