The Chindbettipass is 2623 m above sea level. M. high mountain pass in the Wildstrubels group in the Bernese Oberland , Switzerland . It connects the Engstligenalp in the west, above Adelboden , with the upper Ueschinental , which leads down to Kandersteg .
The pass is between animal Hoernli ( Tierhöri , 2894 m ) and Chindbettihorn ( Chindbettihore , 2691 m ) on the Engstligengrat ( Entschligegrat ridge mentioned) extending from the 3146 m high Steghorn northward pulls down. A trail with difficulty level T3 on the SAC hiking scale leads over the pass .
The pass has alpinistic significance as the access from the Adelbodener Tal (Engstligenalp) to the Lämmerenhütte on the south side of the Wildstrubel. During this transition, the Tingle Glacier, with its few crevices, in the rearmost Ueschinental valley and the 2900 m high Rote Totz Gücke are crossed (approx. 4 hours from hut to hut). The Lämmerenhütte, at an altitude of 2500 meters, is an ideal high-altitude starting point for crossing the three almost equally high peaks of the Wildstrubel ( 3243 m ) to Engstligenalp. From the Rote Totz Lücke or the Lämmerenhütte you can also descend over the Gemmi Pass to Leukerbad in the Valais .
