Youssef El-Akchaoui ( Arabic يوسف العكشاوي Yussef Al-Akschaui ; * February 18, 1981 in Dordrecht ) is a former Dutch - Moroccan football player . Its position is the left flank.

Career

Youssef El-Akchaoui took his first footballing steps at Feyenoord Rotterdam , where he moved from his youth club VV Alblasserdam. At the beginning of 2001 he started his professional career at Excelsior Rotterdam . The left-back played in Germany for the first time in the 2002/03 season through a loan to 1. FC Union Berlin . Thereafter, El-Akchaoui returned to the Eredivisie , where he played for three years with ADO Den Haag . With the end of his contract El-Akchaoui moved to NEC Nijmegen , where he became a regular player and completed over one hundred games for the Dutch club. On January 20, 2010 he was loaned to the German second division club FC Augsburg . After the end of the loan contract he moved within the Eredivisie to sc Heerenveen . There he signed a contract until June 2013 and was given the number 5 on his shirt. But after six months he was loaned out again in January 2011, this time within the VVV-Venlo league . After his return in the 2012/13 season under coach Marco van Basten , he was no longer able to play, so that the player and club dissolved his contract in December 2012.

National team

For his first appearance for the Moroccan national soccer team El-Akchaoui came on August 20, 2008 in a friendly against Benin .
