Yuma Murakami (born December 12, 1992 in Obihiro ) is a Japanese speed skater .

Career

Murakami started in Stavanger for the first time in the Speed ​​Skating World Cup in January 2016 and finished 18th and third in the B group over 500 m and 33rd place in the B group over 1000 m. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season he became the Japanese 500 m champion in Nagano . In January 2017 in Berlin he achieved his first podium finish in the World Cup with second place over 500 m. At the 2017 World Single Distance Championships in Gangwon , he came 11th and at the Winter Asian Games 2017 in Obihiro, 21st place over 500 m. At the beginning of the 2018/19 season he came second and third at the World Cup in Tomakomai over 500 m. This was followed by third places over 500 m at the World Cups in Tomaszów Mazowiecki and Heerenveen . At the individual distance world championships in Inzell in 2019 , he finished fifth over 500 m.
