Career

Yun appears internationally as a player in the Wolmido sports group .

In 2005, Yun, who was mainly used as a right full-back, took part in the U-17 World Cup in Peru with the North Korean U-17 team and only failed with the team after extra time in the quarter-finals against Brazil. In 2006, he won the U-19 Asian Cup with the U-20 team under captain Kim Kum-il . Because of this success, he took part in the U-20 World Cup in Canada in 2007 . He was part of the regular team in all three games, but in a group with the later finalists Czech Republic and Argentina two points were not enough to advance.

Yun made his debut in the North Korean national team in 2007 in the two first-round games of the World Cup qualification against Mongolia. In 2008 he took part in the AFC Challenge Cup as a regular player , but lost with the "B selection" in the semifinals 1-0 to Tajikistan and thus missed the possible qualification for the 2011 Asian Cup .
