Yuna & Stitch ( Japanese ス テ ィ ッ チ! , Sutitchi! For Stitch! ) Is an anime television series from 2008 to 2011. The series is a continuation of the animated series Lilo & Stitch .

content

Yuna is a karate master who lives with her grandmother in Japan. Suddenly she is surprised by the news that a blue monster is causing a stir in the city. She immediately sets off to find the "troublemaker". She tracks down the blue monster in the forest. But it is about Stitch, an alien who is now making Japan unsafe after a trip to Hawaii . After initial difficulties and a few dicey situations, however, the two enjoy each other, get on well and eventually even become best friends.

Production and broadcast

The series was produced in 2008 with initially 26 episodes by Studio Madhouse on behalf of Walt Disney Television International Japan. It was directed by Masami Hata , the character design was created by Ken'ichi Shimizu and Yoshinori Kanemori, and the artistic directors were Hisashi Ikeda, Kaoru Ida and Yukio Abe. The broadcast of the first season took place from October 8, 2008 to June 26, 2009 on the TXN network , simultaneously on the channels TV Tokyo , TV Hokkaidō , TV Aichi , TV Osaka , TV Setouchi , TVQ Kyūshū . Okinawa TV followed with a week's delay . A nationwide broadcast took place from December 7, 2008 on the Japanese Disney Channel .

From October 13, 2009 to June 29, 2010, a second season with 30 episodes called Stitch! - Itazura Alien no Daibōken ( スティッチ~いたずらエイリアンの大冒険~! , Sutitchi - Itazura Eirian no Daibōken! , Literally "Stitch - The great adventure of mischief driving aliens!") On TV Asahi . Kaoru Ida was no longer active in the artistic direction.

A third season called Stitch! - Zutto Saikō no Tomodachi ( ス テ ィ ッ チ! 〜 ず っ と 最高 の ト モ ダ チ 〜 , Sutitchi! - Zutto Saikō no Tomodachi ) was produced by the Shin'ei Dōga studio, which resulted in a change of staff. The director was Tetsuo Yasumi , while the character design was done by Sachiko Ōhashi. The 30 episodes aired on TV Asahi from July 6, 2010 to March 8, 2011.

The anime has also been translated into English, Spanish, Portuguese and Tagalog, among others. The German premiere of the first season took place from April 10 to August 4, 2010 on Disney Channel and is based on the English version. Therefore there are extensive changes in dialogue and action compared to the Japanese version. The Japanese episodes 4 and 9, 11 and 12, 21 and 14, 16 and 19 were cut into one episode each in the English and therefore also in the German version. Therefore the English and German versions only have 22 episodes.

The German version of the second season has been broadcast on the Disney Channel since May 2, 2011.
