Yutaka Kanai
Yutaka Kanai ( Japanese 金井 豊 , Kanai Yutaka ; born October 16, 1959 , † August 23, 1990 ) was a Japanese long-distance runner .
Life
At the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, he came seventh over 10,000 m .
In 1986 he finished sixth in the London Marathon . Over 5000 m he became national champion and won bronze at the Asian Games in Seoul . In 1988 and 1989 he finished ninth in the Fukuoka Marathon .
In 1990 he was killed in a traffic accident.
Yutaka Kanai graduated from Waseda University and started for the corporate team at S&B Foods ( esubī shokuhin ).
