Yvon Baarspul
Yvon Baarspul (born September 14, 1918 in Utrecht , † February 20, 1993 in Cologne ) was a Dutch conductor .
Life
Yvon Baarspul was music director of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in Batavia from 1948 to 1950 . Then he was conductor of the Twents Philharmonic Orchestra (" Twenter Philharmonic Orchestra"), renamed in 1954 to Overijssels Philharmonic Orchestra (" Overijsseler Philharmonic Orchestra").
From 1964 to 1970 he conducted as the successor to Franz-Paul Decker the Municipal Orchestra Bochum . Under Baarspul, the orchestra in Bochum was expanded to 80 musicians and was given its current name: Bochumer Symphoniker.
