Yvonne Lefébure
Yvonne Lefébure (born June 29, 1898 in Ermont , Département Val-d'Oise , † January 23, 1986 in Paris ) was a French pianist .
life and work
From 1906 Lefébure had piano lessons with Marguerite Long , then studied at the Conservatoire de Paris with Maurice Emmanuel and Charles-Marie Widor and took private lessons with Alfred Cortot . She soon appeared with the legendary orchestras of Charles Lamoureux and Édouard Colonne and later worked under conductors such as Adrian Boult , Wilhelm Furtwängler and Pablo Casals , at whose Prades and Perpignan festivals she regularly participated in the 1950s and 1960s.
She taught piano at the École Normale de Musique and until 1969 at the Conservatoire de Paris, after which she gave private lessons until her death.
