Zambezi Airlines was a Zambian airline based in Lusaka and based at Lusaka Airport .
history
Zambezi Airlines was founded in May 2008, and national flight operations began two months later, initially with an Embraer EMB 120 . Since June 4, 2009, two Boeing 737-500s leased from GECAS initially served international destinations. The Embraer EMB 120 was replaced on July 1, 2009 by a Jetstream 32, which has since been released again . On November 1, 2011, Zambezi Airlines ceased operations until further notice.
Destinations
From Lusaka, Zambezi Airlines last flew to Cape Town , Johannesburg , Dar es Salaam , Harare , Kinshasa , Livingstone , Lubumbashi and Ndola . There was also a code share agreement with Air Namibia .
Zambezi Airlines was on the list of operating bans for the airspace of the European Union .
