ZanAir (also Zanair ) is a Tanzanian airline based in Zanzibar and bases at Zanzibar Airport .
history
ZanAir started flight operations with the base in Zanzibar in 1992 and initially focused on flights to and from Zanzibar. Over the years, ZanAir has developed from a small regional carrier to one of the most important regional airlines in Tanzania and now operates an extensive regional route network with many daily departures, which is no longer concentrated on routes to and from Zanzibar, but also routes within the Tanzanian mainland includes. Mainly smaller airfields and landing strips away from the large traffic flows are approached, which is also reflected in the fleet, which consists of very small aircraft. ZanAir mainly performs domestic services; International flights can only be found in the flight plan to Entebbe . All ZanAir flights are non-smoking flights.
Destinations
ZanAir mainly flies to national destinations from Zanzibar. The only international destination that is served is Mombasa in Kenya .
