The Zare is an approximately eleven kilometer long left tributary of the Sude in the west of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .

The largely straightened watercourse begins in the west of the municipality of Grambow on the edge of a forest area. From God's gift and Little Welzin, piping is led up to this point. In a southerly direction, the Zare runs past the Grambow district of Wodenhof. After Wodenhof the Ottergraben drains the Grambower Moor . 1.2 kilometers north of the Walsmühlen district of Dümmer and 1.3 kilometers west of Zülow , the Zare flows into the Sude on the municipal boundary. This leads the water on over the Elbe into the North Sea .
