The tender-leaved asparagus ( Asparagus tenuifolius ) is a species of the asparagus genus ( Asparagus ) in the asparagus family (Asparagaceae).
features
Delicate-leaved asparagus is a perennial , herbaceous rhizome plant that reaches heights of 40 to 80 (rarely up to 100) centimeters. The dummy leaves have a diameter of 0.1 to 0.2 millimeters. There are 10 to 25 (rarely up to 40) arranged at the node. The stamens are 4 to 6 times as long as the round anthers. The flowers are 6 to 8 millimeters long, whitish in color and have a green stripe. The scale leaves are not very thorny at the bottom.
The flowering period extends from May to June.
Occurrence
Tender-leaved asparagus occurs in southern France, Italy, southern Switzerland, the Balkans, southern Austria, Ukraine and north-west Turkey. It grows in bushes, sparse forests and on sunny rocky slopes at altitudes of up to 1300 meters.
