Zbruč

Zbruč is a popular Ukrainian analytical online newspaper that has appeared in Lviv since February 11, 2013 . Its editor is the former employee of the printed newspaper Postup Orest Drul, which is also based in Lviv .

The magazine, which symbolically bears its name after the border river Sbruch , was founded in response to the new Russian-oriented policy of President Viktor Yanukovych of the Lviv civil association "Western Analytical Group" (Західна аналітична група).

Characteristic of the internet magazine, which joins the other important Ukrainian internet magazines Ukrajinska Prawda (2000) and Zaxid.net (2007), which were founded earlier , is a continuation of the printed newspapers Postup (1989-1990) and Post-Postup (1991) ff.) and in addition to the journal Ji (1989) the connection of current political, cultural and scientific Ukrainian and specifically Galician topics with simultaneous recourse to historical articles from the relevant western Ukrainian magazines of the prewar times.

The magazine categorizes its content in ten sections: Galicia, Ukraine, the World, Art, Science, Discourses, Past, 1893, 1918, 1943.

The clear orientation of the widely read magazine towards the West and Europe is also evident in the choice of the Latin name and the country code of the website.

In addition to scientists and politicians, the authors include the writers Jurij Andruchowytsch , Sofija Andruchowytsch , Oleksandr Bojtschenko , Andrij Lyubka , Wassyl Machno , Mykola Rjabtschuk , Taras Prochasko , Jurij Vynnytschuk .
