Zdzisława Janowska (born Chłodzińska; born December 16, 1940 in Litzmannstadt ) is a Polish politician , lecturer, senator in the III. and V. electoral term and members of the Sejm in the VI . Electoral term.

She finished her studies at the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Łódź . Since 1965 she has been a lecturer in administration at the University of Łódź. In 1972 she received her doctorate in economics and in 1986 she qualified as a professor. In 1990 she became an associate professor and since 1997 she has headed the Department of Human Resources at the University of Łódź. On March 13, 2002, she was appointed full professor by President Aleksander Kwaśniewski .

She is the author and co-author of several monographs and more than 150 scientific articles. As an expert and consultant for economic policy in the areas of restructuring , privatization , the fight against unemployment and human resources management, she works regularly with the Labor Institutes in Oslo and Stockholm , the Universities of Örebro in Sweden and Maryland in the USA and with the Friedrich Ebert Foundation in Poland together. She is the founder and chairwoman of the International Women's Foundation in Łódź, which has set itself the task of achieving equal opportunities for women in the labor market.

From 1990 to 1994 she was a councilor for the Solidarność Citizens Committee in Łódź.

From 1993 to 1997 she sat for the Unia Pracy (Union of Labor - UP) in the Senate of the III. Electoral term and in this context was Deputy Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Women's Group and represented the Senate at the meetings of the Interparliamentary Union. She was Deputy Chairwoman of the Public Service Commission. She was re-elected to the Senate in the fifth electoral term (2001).

In 2004 she left Unia Pracy and joined the founding committee of Socjaldemokracja Polska (Social Democracy of Poland - SdPl), where she held the function of a voivodeship representative of the SdPl. In the 2005 she ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the Sejm.

From 2006 to 2007 she was a member of the Lewicy i Demokraci (Left and Democrats - LiD) in the Sejmik of the Łódź Voivodeship . In the parliamentary elections in 2007 she was elected to the Sejm for the constituency of Łódź with 5430 votes on the list of LiD. She is a member of the Sejm Commissions for Social Policy and Health.

Since April 22, 2008, she has been a member of the newly established SdPL-Nowa Lewica parliamentary group.
