The Zebra Clube Futebol Baucau , or FC Zebra for short , is an East Timorese football club . He is based in Baucau , the second largest city in the country.
history
The association was founded on August 12, 1985.
In 2005 the club took part in the 2005 ASEAN Club Championship . There the club was drawn into a group with Nagacorp FC (Cambodia), Pahang FA (Malaysia) and Hoàng Anh Gia Lai (Vietnam). With one win (3: 0) and two defeats (0: 8 and 1:14), they finished the group stage in third place and were eliminated from the competition. In the 2006 season, FC Zebra took part in the Super League , which then served as the national league. At that time, the club made it to the semi-finals, but lost them as well as the game for third place.
In 2015, FC Zebra reached fourth place out of 5 in the qualifying round for the newly founded LFA Primeira Divisão in Group B and thus failed to make it into the top division. In the 2016 season, the club therefore played in the second-rate LFA Segunda Divisão . In second place, the club rose to the Primeira Divisão for the 2017 season . This ended in penultimate place in the table, so that FC Zebra had to relegate to the second division again after a year. In the 2018 season they came in fourth in the second division.
At the national cup Taça 12 de Novembro 2016 they were eliminated in the first main round, in 2017 and 2018 in the second.
