Ten German festival locations
Ten German Festival Locations is a network of German open-air theaters .
history
Founded in 1969 as a consortium of six theaters, the official name since 2000 has been "Ten German Festival Locations". The ten theaters set themselves the goal of offering sophisticated stagings in the open air, in which the ambience of the location - castle ruins, monastery, church, cave - itself becomes part of the staging. The members of the association now organize more than 1000 performances per season.
