history

At the beginning of the 19th century, three rows of houses next to each other were laid out on the Mordwiese and on the Trebe on the deforested southern slope of the Bieleboh mountain range, parallel to the border between the Saxon exclave Beiersdorf- Spremberg and Upper Lusatia . In 1840, the chronicler Carl Leberecht Haase wrote of a long row of houses, almost all of which were not built until the time of the current rule . The settlement north of the Beiersdorf Oberdorf was always part of Beiersdorf.

Between 1954 and 1959, the AWG settlement with 46 apartments was created below the row on the edge of the upper village. For the area between the row and the AWG-Siedlung was declared as a residential building area "row" in the 2000s. Since then, several single-family houses have been built there.

In the census of May 9, 2011, the line consisted of 28 residential buildings in which 80 people lived. The average age was 41.6 years.

Administrative affiliation

1843: Stolpen office, 1856: Neusalza court office , 1875: Löbau administrative authority , 1952: Löbau district , 1994: Löbau-Zittau district , 2008: Görlitz district .

Townscape

The row is made up of three rows of cottagers, which are lined up with staggered and discontinuous streets on the mountain slope in an east-west direction. Some houses are framed . There is a small pond below the western line. To the south, the line is partially connected to the AWG settlement by new residential developments.

The Beiersdorfer Hexenfeuer takes place on the line at irregular intervals .
