Group of companies

The company group includes:

history

The company Zeman & Co GmbH was founded in 1965 by Hans Zeman. The first constructions were initially made under a flying roof and in the open air before the first own workshop was built in Scheifling , Styria . The company expanded in the following years: Zeman implemented the first major projects and expanded its production halls. In 1976 Zeman took the first international steps to Saudi Arabia with the export of prefabricated houses. In the mid-1970s, Zeman began producing its own steel products. This competence was expanded in the following years: Based on Legato and SIN technology, Zeman expanded his business area to include mechanical engineering . Immediately after the turnaround in 1991, the company "Florprofile" was founded, which was mainly active in Central and Eastern Europe and marked Zeman's market entry in the CEE region . With the complete takeover of the company PEM Industriebau & Hallenbau and the friendly integration into the group of companies in 2003, Zeman expanded his field of activity in the project business from England to the Urals .

The Zeman group today comprises 20 companies across Europe . The company is still completely privately owned and is now run in the second generation by Peter Zeman, the son and successor of the company founder. The core competencies include the manufacture and assembly of steel structures, design and construction of machines for steel processing, plant engineering and heavy industrial construction . Zeman also acts as a general contractor for construction projects. The planning and construction of turnkey factories for the production of steel structures has developed into an important project field. Zeman designs the system, carries out the construction and equips the finished factory halls with the necessary machines. The company's milestone projects in Austria include the European Championship soccer stadium in Innsbruck , the tower at Vienna Airport , the Tech Gate Vienna and the Gerhard Hanappi Stadium in Vienna.

Developments (selection)

Machine developments

Mechanical engineering is one of Zeman's core competencies. The company was the first in the world to develop a fully automatic, computer-controlled corrugated web carrier production system that minimizes costly and time-consuming welding processes through automation . The Twintask-Rollformer produces trapezoidal sheets, including punching the fastening holes at the element ends. The changeover from straight to curved profiles can be carried out in a very short time by raising or lowering the roll forming section around an end axis. Further machines from the Zeman program are cassette roll formers, purlin profiling machines, trapezoidal profile formers, mobile decoilers and small radius bending machines .

Product developments

The Legato bow systems are a patented in-house development based on specially shaped trapezoidal profiles, manufactured on machines from Zeman-Maschinenbau. They allow free spans of over 20 meters.

The Arch-Deck is a composite trapezoidal sheet metal ceiling, consisting of steel girders spaced about four to six meters apart and the legato trapezoidal sheet metal arches supported on the lower chords. These serve as load-bearing formwork for the concrete ceiling, without additional support and thus without hindrance to subsequent trades. In the final state there is thus a concrete vaulted ceiling in the manner of the known placemats.

The corrugated web support | sin-Profile is used for all types of steel structures in building construction: as a roof girder, as a frame structure (also multi-aisled and multi-storey), as a support, etc. The profile of the girder web gives it high load-bearing capacity with a low construction weight. This results in a particularly economical solution for larger spans.
