zeno . Yearbook for literature and criticism

Zeno combines essays, poetry, aphorisms and prose texts in the border area between philosophy and literature . Polemical glosses and reviews appear in the zenotes . Zeno regularly publishes texts by older, wrongly forgotten or hardly noticed authors. The envelope is always decorated with Bachus on the turtle from the Boboli Gardens in Florence.

The yearbook was founded in 1980 by Reinhard Düßel, Jakob Ossner , Michael Rumpf, Ulrich Schödlbauer and Joachim Vahland; since issue 24 Sinn it has been published by Gerd Brudermüller , Jakob Ossner, Michael Rumpf and Joachim Vahland. Wolfgang Marx , Professor of Philosophy at the University of Bonn, was also one of the editors from 2002 until his death in 2011. Zeno has been published annually by the Rhein-Ruhr University Press (UVRR) since 2008.
