history

The institute was similar to the West German Academy for Business Executives in Bad Harzburg . This institute did not leave a vacuum after reunification, but survived in the form of an educational center of the Treuhandanstalt . The institute was later privatized. Today it is the Academy for International Economics , market economy knowledge with in-depth knowledge of the Eastern markets leads to a special East-West competence in this institute.

In the GDR it has been a mixture of enlightenment, opportunism and indoctrination since its existence. On the positive side, it should be mentioned that the institute valued commercial thinking. Mention should also be made of the respect for mathematical methods, which have always played an important role at this institute.
