Uwe-Jens Heuer

Uwe-Jens Heuer (born July 11, 1927 in Essen ; † October 22, 2011 in Berlin ) was a German legal scholar and politician ( SED , PDS ).

Life

Uwe-Jens Heuer was the son of a lawyer who worked as a social democratic politician in Magdeburg and Berlin during the Weimar Republic . After attending the Heinrich von Kleist High School in Berlin , Heuer studied law at the Humboldt University in Berlin from 1946 . He finished his studies in 1951 with the state examination. 1956 Heuer at Humboldt University with a thesis on the conflict over the principles of general land law as an expression of the crisis of the feudal system in Prussia Dr. jur. PhD.

In 1964 Uwe-Jens Heuer began distance learning at the Berlin School of Economics . In 1964 he was able to do his habilitation with the work The Significance of Lenin's Doctrine of the Role of Law in the System of Socialist Economic Management for the New Economic System of Planning and Management of the National Economy . From 1951 to 1967 he was a professor at Humboldt University. There he was most recently director of the Institute for Constitutional Law. From 1967 to 1982 he worked at the Central Institute for Socialist Economic Management in Berlin and from 1982 to 1990 head of the department "Political and legal issues of economic management" at the Institute for Theory of the State and Law of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR . From 1979 he was a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR. After 1990 he was a member of the Leibniz Society .

He was a member of the SED from 1948 to 1989 and exercised various honorary functions. In the only free Volkskammer election he was elected as a member of the People's Chamber . After reunification he became a member of the German Bundestag for the PDS.

This year, who always moved in via the state list of Saxony , belonged to the Bundestag from 1990 to 1998. Among other things, he was a member of the Legal Committee . Most recently, Heuer worked as an author and commentator a. a. for the daily newspaper Junge Welt .

This year one of five speakers was in the Marxist Forum .
