Zeynəddin Bilalov (born November 30, 1965 in Gelhen , Dagestani ASSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Azerbaijani athlete in disabled sports .

Athletic career

Due to extensive blindness , Bilalov entered the classification groups T / F11 (T = en. For track , F = en. For field ). He celebrated his greatest successes in the triple jump and long jump disciplines , in which he won several medals at the Paralympic Summer Games as well as at World and European Championships in the 2000s . In 2003 he became European champion in the triple jump.

His performance in the 100-meter run was less successful . Both the 2000 Paralympics in Sydney as well as those in 2004 in Athens , he did not get beyond the heats. In 2008 in Beijing , he was a member of the 4 x 100 meter relay in his home country, which could not finish their preliminary race.

Honors

At the beginning of February 2008, Bilalov was awarded the Azerbaijani State Prize, the Tərəqqi Medal . Eight years later, in February 2016, he received an “Honorary Certificate from the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
