Zhang Qingwei

Zhang Qingwei ( Chinese  张庆伟 , Pinyin Zhāng Qìngwěi ; * 1961 in Jilin , Jilin Province ) is a politician in the People's Republic of China .

After studying at Northwestern Polytechnic University in Xi'an , from which Zhang graduated with a Masters in Aircraft Control and its Applications, he worked as a leading scientist and manager in his country's space program and its aircraft industry. From August 30, 2007 to March 2008, he held the position of chairman of the ministerial rank of the Commission for Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense , which was assigned to the State Council and at the same time to the Central Military Commission .

Since 2011, Zhang has succeeded Chen Quanguo as the governor and deputy party secretary of Hebei Province .

He has been a member of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party since 2002 .
