Zhao Jing (born December 31, 1990 in Wuhan , Hubei , People's Republic of China ) is a former Chinese swimmer and world record holder over 50 m back.

Career

Zhao Jing took part in the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games , winning a bronze medal in the Chinese 4 × 100 m individual medal in 2008. As a specialist in backstroke, she was four times world champion in the 50 m back and once in the 100 m back. With her title in Rome in 2009, she set a new world record over 50 m back in 27.06 seconds, which was only broken on August 21, 2018 by her compatriot Liu Xiang .
