Zhu Chenjie ( Chinese  朱 辰 傑 , Pinyin Zhū ​​Chénjié , born August 23, 2000 in Shanghai ) is a Chinese football player who is under contract with the first division club Shanghai Shenhua . The central defender has been a Chinese international since June 2019 .

Zhu Chenjie started playing soccer at Ganbao Football Base in Shanghai . On March 31, 2018, Ganbao's age group 1999/00 was integrated into the youth department of Shanghai Shenhua . In July 2018 he was promoted to the first team of the first division . On July 22, 2018 (13th matchday) he made his debut in the men's selection in a 2-2 draw against Henan Jianye . At 17 years and 333 days, he became the youngest player to ever start for the Flower of Shanghai . As a result, he established himself in the starting line-up of head coach Wu Jingui and formed the central defense in alternation with Aidi Fulangxisi and Li Peng . On September 30th (25th matchday) he scored in the 3-1 home win against Guangzhou R&F for the first time in the top Chinese league, making him the youngest scorer in Shanghai Shenhua and the first scorer in the Chinese Super League at the age of 18 and 38 days who was born after 2000. In this game year 2018 he played 15 league games and scored once.

In the next season of 2019 , he retained his status as a regular player. On April 27, 2019 (7th matchday), he scored his first goal of the season in a 3-2 home defeat by Tianjin Tianhai after he headed a corner from Colombian Fredy Guarín . National team

Zhu Chenjie played 18 times for the Chinese U20 national team in 2017 and 2018 . He has been working for the Chinese U23 national team since 2019 .

On June 7, 2019, Zhu made his debut in a friendly international match against the Philippines for the Chinese A selection . In the 2-0 win at Tianhe Stadium in Tianhe , Guangzhou , he was substituted on in the 33rd minute by coach Marcello Lippi for the ailing Ji Xiang .
