Zibberick is a district of the municipality of Angern in the northeast of the Börde district in Saxony-Anhalt .

geography

Zibberick on the south-eastern edge of the Altmark lies between the floodplains of the Tangier east of the Colbitz-Letzlinger Heide and west of the Elbe , more spaciously between Magdeburg and Stendal .

history

The district Zibberick belonged from July 1, 1950 to December 31, 2009 to the municipality of Mahlwinkel . On January 1, 2010, the previously independent municipalities of Bertingen and Wenddorf and Mahlwinkel, and thus also Zibberick, merged with the existing municipality of Angern to form the new municipality of Angern.

Transport links

Connecting roads lead from Zibberick to the surrounding villages (Mahlwinkel, Wenddorf, Rogätz ). In Rogätz, 10 km away, there is a ferry (up to 25 t) across the Elbe to Burg . In Dolle, 12 km to the west, there is a connection to the federal highway 189 - the most important connection in the north of Saxony-Anhalt.

Zibberick is on the Magdeburg – Stendal railway line, but the nearest train station is in the north in Mahlwinkel, three kilometers away, with hourly connections via Magdeburg to Schönebeck (Elbe) and via Stendal to Wittenberge .
