Zimafej Iharawitsch Filin ( Belarusian Цімафей Ігаравіч Філін , Russian Тимофей Игоревич Филин / Timofei Igorewitsch Filin; born June 18, 1984 in Minsk , Belarusian SSR ) is a Belarusian ice hockey player .

Career

The striker began his career with Junost Minsk in the 2000/01 season . 2002/03 played in Canada for the Oshawa Generals in the OHL and then returned to Junost Minsk. In 2004 Filin moved to HK Dinamo Minsk , for which he played in the second team. For the 2005 World Cup he was appointed to the Belarusian national team. Immediately after the first game, he was tested positive for norandrosterone in the doping control and banned for two years.

After his suspension, Filin played for Dinamo Minsk's first team in the Extraliga in 2007/08 . Then he went to HK Homel , where he was under contract for five years. In 2013 he moved to Metallurg Schlobin .
