Zimafej Witaljewitsch Sliwez ( Belarusian Цімафей Вітальевіч Слівец , Russian Тимофей Витальевич Сливец ; born October 22, 1984 in Minsk ) is a Belarusian freestyle skier . He specializes in the aerials (jumping) discipline. His older sister Assol Sliwez does the same sport.

biography

Sliwez made his debut in the Freestyle World Cup on December 5, 2003 and immediately achieved tenth place in Ruka . The best result in his first season was a seventh place, in the following winter 2005/06 a fourth place was his best performance. The first podium place in a world cup competition he achieved on December 10, 2006 in Jilin , where he was second. In the 2007/08 season he was only able to achieve one countable result in the World Cup.

Another podium finish achieved Sliwez in the 2008/09 season. At the Winter Universiade 2009 in Yabuli , he was the best non-Chinese in fourth. In 2010 he took part in the Olympic Games for the first time and jumped to 9th place.
