The Zipfelbachtalbrücke is located between the Winnenden-Süd and Winnenden-West junctions. It begins north of the Murrbahn and ends immediately south of the Winnenden-West junction. |
The Zipfelbachtalbrücke is a bridge structure on the federal highway 14 ( structure 4) in Baden-Württemberg , between the large district town of Winnenden and the municipality of Schwaikheim in the Rems-Murr district . It is named after the Zipfelbach whose valley it crosses.
The bridge is at the gates of the community of Leutenbach . From 2006 it enabled the first section of the newly built upgraded line to go into operation from the Winnenden junction (plan name Winnenden-Süd ) to the Winnenden-West junction, referred to as Winnenden-Mitte during the planning phase . The further part through the Leutenbach tunnel to the Winnenden-Hertmannsweiler junction (plan name Nellmersbach ) was opened to traffic on September 21, 2009. This completes the western bypass around Winnenden, and the previous B 14 through Winnenden has been rededicated accordingly.
Planning and construction
The bridge was built between August 2002 and March 2006, the design planning comes from Department 43 of the Stuttgart Regional Council in cooperation with the engineering office Peter und Lochner. The structural design comes from the engineering office Leonhardt, Andrä und Partner from Dresden . The construction company Lupp from Nidda was commissioned with the implementation . The length of the bridge is 465 meters.
Open to traffic
On November 27, 2006 the bridge was opened to traffic together with the first section of the Winnenden bypass .
