The Zipfelbach is a river about 18 kilometers long, mainly in the Rems-Murr district and most recently in the Ludwigsburg district in Baden-Württemberg , which flows into the middle Neckar from the right near Ludwigsburg - Poppenweiler .
geography
course
The Zipfelbach rises on the north side of the Buocher Höhe at about 410 m above sea level. NN and then flows in the valley between Breuningsweiler and Hanweiler towards Winnenden . On the way he falls down a two meter high waterfall. In Winnenden it crosses the southern urban area and for a short time flows parallel to the Buchenbach in the east; the old town of Winnenden lies on a ridge between the two streams. Immediately after Winnenden, the Zipfelbachtalbrücke of Bundesstraße 14 , which was completed in 2006, crosses its valley, then turns west, reaches Schwaikheim and then turns north-west. It flows through Bittenfeld and Hochdorf and then turns back to the west to the confluence with the Neckar south of Poppenweiler at around 202 m above sea level. NN . In the meantime, it has buried itself 40 meters deep in the hard shell limestone .
Catchment area
The catchment area of the tip of Bach covers 43.2 square kilometers, the smaller part of it lies in the subspace Berglen the natural environment Schurwald and Welzheimer forest , the larger of middle and lower reaches in the subspace Backnanger bay of the Neckar basin . It has the shape of a pointed wedge tapering to the south-east and borders in the north-north-west beyond the line Muzzle - Poppenweiler - Berg Lemberg ( 365.1 m above sea level ) - Affalterbach soon against the small catchment area of the Eichgraben, which strives towards the Neckar . In the north-east, the Murr is a direct competitor for a short time .
This is followed by the watershed at a medium height of ( 300 m above sea level ) and close to the Murr tributary of Buchenbach, southeast of about the L 1127 from Affalterbach to Winnenden , where the Zipfelbach and Buchenbach rivers on both sides of the old town come closest. Thereupon the border of the catchment area climbs the Haselstein ( 447.5 m above sea level ), where woodland begins, and then continues to the southwest past Breuningsweiler to reach the Großer Rossberg ( 511.7 m above sea level ) and the Buocher water tower with 519, 6 m above sea level NN on the flat and here open Buocher Höhe the southeastern tip and the highest point of the catchment area. The last competition here is beyond the Buchenbach tributary Steinach .
At Buoch, the watershed turns to the northwest over a wooded arm of the Buocher Höhe to the Korber Kopf ( 456.8 m above sea level ), on this piece run across the Grunbach , Gundelsbach and Heppach to the Rems . Then the dividing line descends again to the middle heights of the Neckar basin and from here now stays close to the stream. On the other side, the Erbach also initially strives for the Rems . Subsequently, this is itself a competitor in the southwest, on the larger remaining stretch back to the mouth it is the Neckar itself in the west.
