Zoë Taylor (born June 5, 1995 in Newton ) is an American telemarker .

Career

After skiing for the first time at age two, Taylor started telemarking at the age of six . At the age of eleven she took part in a national championship for the first time and came in sixth. A year later, she reached second place at the NASTAR championships, before moving with her mother to the winter sports resort Steamboat Springs the following winter and since then has been running for the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club. On February 3, 2011, when she was only 15 years old, she made her debut in the Telemark World Cup in Thyon . In her first World Cup season, she achieved midfield results. In the end, she finished 21st in the overall World Cup, 18th in the Classic, 22nd in the Classic Sprint and 23rd in the giant slalom. In the same year she started at the Junior World Championships 2011 in Hafjell and reached several top 10 placements there. She achieved fifth place in the giant slalom, and seventh in the Classic and Classic Sprint. At the 2011 World Championships in Rjukan , which took place a week later , she started again, finishing 19th in giant slalom and 16th in Classic. Despite being reported, she did not start in the Classic Sprint race. The results went up in the 2012 season . Although she only competed in three World Cups, she was able to win her first World Cup race in the parallel sprint at her home race in Steamboat Springs. In the overall World Cup she reached 11th place, eighth place in the Classic, 14th place in the Classic Sprint and ninth place in the parallel sprint. In the following season, at the Junior World Championship in Espot in 2012 , she was able to build on her good performance at the Junior World Championship in the previous year, finishing fourth in the parallel sprint and sixth in the Classic race. In the 2013 season she only started in Rjukan and Geilo and achieved results in midfield. She came 17th in the overall World Cup, 21st in the Classic Sprint and 12th in the Parallel Sprint. At her second World Championships in 2013 in Espot, she did not start in the classic and parallel sprints. She was 12th in the Classic Sprint.
