In 1963, Kemény created the sculptural ceiling installation clouds with a length of 116 m for the foyer of the Städtische Bühnen in Frankfurt am Main . The clouds , welded from sheet copper by the artist, develop their special effect, especially when illuminated in the evening. It is a local plant that is now acutely threatened due to the plans of the city of Frankfurt, which became known in January 2020, to demolish the entire building complex. In May 2020, the Hessian State Office for the Preservation of Monuments published a report confirming the monument value, in particular of the ensemble of the foyer building with Kemény's gold clouds .
