The deputy zoo director Sonja Winter absolutely wants to prevent her zoo from being closed. Your opponent, the pretty city councilor Antonia Grewe, is just as uncompromisingly committed to the closure of the zoo together with the architect Mark Fechter. Eight-year-old Tom, the architect's son, is friends with Sonja Winter's daughter Hanna and plans with her to kidnap Hanna's favorite penguin “ Schulze ”, who is to be put to sleep in the course of the closure.

Dennis Satin ignored the good advice. He has probably not regretted it: Both the children and the film's secret star, a penguin named Mr. Schulze, are doing a great job. That doesn't really apply to the actual main actors: Jan Sosniok and Floriane Daniel act strangely tense. The couple's kisses are even played so badly, as if the duo actually couldn't smell each other. "
