Zoran Varvodić (born December 26, 1963 in Split ) is a former Croatian football goalkeeper who played for Hajduk Split , among others . In addition, Varvodić was a goalkeeping coach in Split until 2010.

Career

First steps in Yugoslavia

Varvodić started his career at NK GOŠK Dubrovnik, where he played his first games at the age of 20. Then he moved to Hajduk Split in 1984 , where Zoran Varvodić only played 62 times in four years, but 30 times in his last season, but won the 1987 cup. He played from the next season at Spartak Subotica, where Varvodić made his breakthrough; he played 30 times in his first season and 34 times in his second. In the 1990/91 season he played Olimpija Ljubljana and made 30 games there, however, with the independence from Slovenia and the newly established Slovenian league in the 1991/92 season, Zoran Varvodić only made 12 games, but became champion in the first Season.

FC Cádiz and return to Croatia

Nevertheless, he moved to the Primera División for Cádiz in 1992 but his team stayed in the top class in his first season only through two relegation games against UE Figueres . While Varvodić still made 15 games, he was not used in the second season and moved back to HNK Dubrovnik during the season, but was relegated there in 1994, but made 12 more games. In the following season, Zoran Varvodić moved to NK Primorac, where he completed all games as a goalkeeper, but was relegated for the second time. Then he played for RNK Split until 2000.
