Zouina Bouzebra (born October 3, 1990 ) is an Algerian hammer thrower and shot putter .

Athletic career

Zouina Bouzebra gained her first international experience at the 2007 World Youth Championships in Ostrava , where she was eliminated from the qualification with 39.30 m. Then she finished fifth at the Pan-Arab Games in Cairo with 42.66 m. Two years later she won the silver medal in hammer throw at the Junior African Championships in Bambous with 54.47 m and the bronze medal in the shot put with 12.84 m. At the Arab Championships in Damascus she won the bronze medal in the shot put with 12.70 m behind the Tunisian Sihem Marrakchi and Walaa Attia from Egypt and came fourth with the hammer with 51.78 m. In 2010 she reached sixth place with the ball at the African Championships in Nairobi with 11.67 m and seventh place in hammer throw with a distance of 55.85 m. In 2011 she won the silver medal behind the Egyptian Rana Taha Ibrahim at the Arab Championships in al-Ain with 58.33 m and was fourth in the shot put with 12.43 m. Then she reached fourth place at the Pan-Arab Games in Doha with 12.37 m and 57.33 m respectively. The following year she was sixth at the African Championships in Porto-Novo with a throw of 57.31 m and fifth at the 2014 African Championships in Marrakech with 58.71 m.

In 2015 she won the Arab Championships in Manama with 60.06 m and finished fourth at the African Games in Brazzaville with 59.16 m. The following year she reached fifth place at the African Championships in Durban with 61.62 m and in 2017 she defended her title at the Arab Championships in Radès with 62.08 m. In 2018, she improved her national record at the African Championships in Asaba to 64.49 m, finishing fourth. In 2019 she won the silver medal behind the Egyptian Rawan Barakat at the Arab Championships in Cairo with 63.07 m and took fourth place at the African Games in Rabat with 63.34 m.

From 2010 to 2012 as well as from 2015 to 2017 and 2019 Bouzebra was Algerian champion in the shot put and in 2011 and 2012 and from 2015 to 2017 and 2019 also in hammer throw.
