Zsuzsanna Szőcs (born April 10, 1962 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian fencer .

successes

Zsuzsanna Szőcs was in 1987 in Lausanne with the foil team and in 1991 in Budapest and 1992 in Havana with the epee team World Champion . Between 1979 and 1990 she also won four silver medals and one bronze medal at world championships with the foil team. In 1991 she became European champion with the epee team in Vienna and won the runner-up title in the epee singles. Szőcs took part in two Olympic Games : in 1980 in Moscow she took third place with Gertrúd Stefanek , Edit Kovács , Ildikó Schwarczenberger and Magda Maros . At the Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 , she reached the semi-finals unbeaten with the Hungarian team, in which they lost to Italy 3: 9. The team then won the battle for third place against the Soviet Union 9-2, so that Szőcs again received the bronze medal together with Katalin Tuschák , Edit Kovács, Gertrúd Stefanek and Zsuzsanna Jánosi .
