Zubin Potok ( Serbian - Cyrillic Зубин Поток , Albanian also Zubin Potoku ) is a place near Mitrovica in the north of Kosovo , which together with surrounding villages forms the municipality of the same name Zubin Potok . This is one of the three Serbian communities in northern Kosovo that do not recognize Kosovo's independence. About 6,616 people live in this community, of which the Serbian population forms the absolute majority.
Surname
The name consists of the words Zubin and Potok . The word Potok means " brook " in the Serbian language and refers to the Zubodolski potok , which flows through the municipality.
