geography
The municipality of Zweihonnschaften consisted of the two former Honnschaften Bredeney and Schuir , whereby the village of Baldeney also belonged to Bredeney. In 1885 the community covered an area of 17.6 km².
history
A regional reform was carried out in the mayor offices of Kettwig-Stadt and Kettwig-Land in the Essen district in March 1875:
- From the Honnschaften Bredeney , Ickten , Roßkothen and Schuir existing community Vierhonnschaften and the local situation were reversed.
- The new municipality of Zweihonnschaften was formed from Bredeney and Schuir and was assigned to the mayor's office of Kettwig-Land.
On September 1, 1902, the community of Zweihonnschaften was removed from the mayor's office of Kettwig-Land and raised to its own mayor's office. In February 1903 both the municipality and the mayor's office were renamed Zweihonnschaften in Bredeney . The municipality of Bredeney was dissolved on April 1, 1915. The Unterbredeney part of the municipality came to the then city of Werden and the remaining part of the municipality to the city of Essen. The former parts of the municipality are now part of the Essen districts of Bredeney, Schuir and Werden.
