The dwarf Pippau ( Crepis pygmaea ) is a species in the genus Pippau ( Crepis ) in the family of Compositae (Asteraceae).

description

The dwarf Pippau grows as a perennial herbaceous plant and reaches heights of 5 to 15 centimeters. The above-ground parts of the plant are hairy tomentose. It has one to few basked stems . The lower leaves are heart-shaped and usually long-stalked, the upper leaves pinnate. The underside of the leaves is often tinged with purple.

The flowering period extends from July to August. The cup-shaped inflorescence with a diameter of about 2 to 3 centimeters contains only ray florets. The yellow ray flower has a yellow style.

The number of chromosomes is 2n = 8 or 12.
