The Zwiefalter Aach or Zwiefalter Ach is a river in the districts of Reutlingen and Biberach and is a left tributary of the Danube .

course

The Wimsen cave is known as the origin of the river . The Zwiefalter Aach flows out of this and shortly thereafter receives an inflow from the Hasenbach . That rises two kilometers north in the Glastal . Here at the beginning of the river, the direction of flow is from north to south. The first place the Aach crosses the Zwiefalter district of Gossenzugen and then Zwiefalten itself.

In old maps it united here with the Kessel-Aach zur Aach, from which the name Zwiefalten (= two-part Aach) arose.

The Zwiefalter Aach changes its direction of flow to the southeast in Zwiefalten. Past Baach and under the federal highway 312 , it flows into the district of Biberach. Behind the district border it now reaches Zwiefaltendorf and flows into the Danube at its eastern edge .
