The historian of Oliva

Since his dissertation, which ascribes the high altar of the Oliva Cathedral to the architect Andreas Schlüter (published in 1980), Iwicki has published (in retirement) numerous books (also in German) about the past and present of the Oliva monastery , the parish of Oliva, his birthplace Lubiewo , as well as to Saint Oliva of Anagni. Side by side with the Gdansk historian Heinz Lingenberg , to whom he dedicated an obituary, Iwicki founded and disseminated today's knowledge about the Cistercian monastery Oliva.
