List of Hamburg subway stations
This list contains the stations of the Hamburg subway ; Listed are all 93 currently existing stations as well as the four stations of the former branch line to Rothenburgsort, which was destroyed in World War II, the Hellkamp terminus of the Eimsbüttel branch line , which was closed in 1964, and the Beimoor station behind Großhansdorf on the Walddörferbahn.
Of the 104 districts of Hamburg, a total of 32 are connected to the subway network. Most of the underground stations are in the districts of Hamburg-Altstadt (eight stations) and Eimsbüttel (six stations). Nine stations are located outside the Hamburg city area. These are spread across the cities and communities to the north and northeast of Ahrensburg (two stops), Ammersbek (one stop), Großhansdorf (three stops) and Norderstedt (three stops). There is no underground station south of the Elbe .
Line courses
The total of 96 stations are distributed on the four existing lines and the former route to Rothenburgsort as follows (transfer stations are counted twice):
Stations
The list is structured as follows:
- Station (abbreviation) & map: Name of the underground station, the HHA-internal abbreviation and a location map
- Opening: first opening of the station for public transport
- Location: location of the station (tunnel location, embankment location, hillside location, viaduct, incision or plan)
- District: District or place outside of Hamburg in which the station is located. The latter are shown in italics.
- Transfer options: The underground lines that serve the station. You can change to the AKN ( ), the S-Bahn ( ), the bus ( ) or the regional and long-distance train ( ).
- Barrier-free: Current or planned barrier-free expansion status. The Hamburger Hochbahn intends to make all stations barrier-free. If a date for the completion of the barrier-free expansion is known, this is indicated. If the date is given as "from", this indicates the start of construction of the barrier-free expansion. If no date for the renovation is known, the current status is indicated with "no". See also the rapid transit route map with marking of barrier-free stops (PDF)
- Comments: Comments on the underground station about possible closures, adjacent workshops, renaming, etc.
- Sights & public facilities: Sights and public buildings in the vicinity
- Image: Image of the train station
Stations highlighted in red are closed, stations highlighted in green are under construction, underground stations marked in bold have track changes or sweeping systems .
