Don't Forget [2] is the debut album by Demi Lovato. The album is to be released on September 23 2008 in the United States via Hollywood Records. MICHELLE

Songwriting

Lovato has said that she writes very dark music, such as "Shadow," "Open," "Trash," and "Stronger." That is why she asked the Jonas Brothers to help her write her new material for the album. She told J-14 Magazine: "I'm more of a writer whose stuff wouldn't make it on a Disney album. It's too dark. My mom's like, 'Oh my gosh, go to therapy.' So I came to (the Jonas Brothers) and I was like, 'Ummmm ... I need help writing catchy stuff just because, well, my target audience isn't metal music." [3]

The music video premiered after the Disney Channel Original Movie The Cheetah Girls: One World on August 22, featuring the Radio Disney edit.[7]

On the topic of "Get Back" Demi Lovato has stated that "theres enough pain songs, enough heartbroken songs" and that she wanted to "write a song thats about getting back together with someone" and thats how the song got started.[9]
