Kevin Jonas (2011)

Paul Kevin Jonas II (born November 5, 1987 in Teaneck , New Jersey ) is an American musician and actor and was a member of the American band Jonas Brothers from 2005 to 2013 . Since the reunification in 2019 Kevin has also been part of the band again.

Life

Kevin Jonas grew up in Wyckoff . His parents are Paul Kevin Jonas, Sr. and Denise Jonas (formerly Miller). He has Italian, German, Irish, English and French-Canadian ancestors and is also descended from the Cherokee . His father is a musician , songwriter and former pastor of an Assemblies of God church. His mother was a sign language teacher and singer. Kevin Jonas wore a so-called purity ring until his wedding in December 2009 . This stands for sexual abstinence until marriage. He has three younger brothers, Joe , Nick and Frankie . Joe and Nick are also members of the Jonas Brothers band . Kevin, like his brothers, received home schooling from his mother, Denise.

Kevin Jonas appears as lead and rhythm guitarist for the Jonas Brothers . Besides his brothers he also does the part of the background vocals. The band's first album was released in 2006.

Jonas and his brothers became internationally known in 2008 with the television film Camp Rock , in which Joe Jonas played the lead role alongside Demi Lovato . The sequel Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam (2010) was just as successful as its predecessor. In the same year he also had a speaking role in the film Night at Museum 2 . The Jonas Brothers were seen in many Disney series and in 2009 received their own series called Jonas LA (then still JONAS ). In the series, Kevin Jonas played the role of Kevin Lucas . In October 2010 the program was discontinued. In 2008 and 2009 he could also be seen in the cinema, both in 3D concert films. In the film for the concert tour by Miley Cyrus , Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds Concert , he was seen with his brothers as the opening act before they appeared with Jonas Brothers: The 3D Concert Experience . The film accompanies their Burnin 'Up tour .

In the same year as the film Camp Rock , the band released their third album, A Little Bit Longer . It reached number 1 in the American charts and number 23 in Germany. Lines, Vines and Trying Times appeared in 2009 . The band split in 2013.

In February 2019 the Jonas Brothers reunited and released the single Sucker and their fifth album Happiness Begins .

In 2009, Kevin Jonas married at Oheka Castle on Long Island . With his wife Danielle Jonas, he had two daughters Alena and Valentina, who were born in February 2014 and October 2016.
