Lines, Vines and Trying Times is the fourth studio album by the American band Jonas Brothers . It was released on June 12, 2009 on Hollywood Records and reached number one on the Billboard 200 . The album wasn't quite as successful as its predecessor, A Little Bit Longer .
background
The band's fourth album came out about ten months after the previous one, A Little Bit Longer . The CD was named after a poem that the three brothers came up with while filming their series JONAS LA . Singer Nick Jonas explained the meaning of the title as follows: “Lines are something that you are provided with, whether it is good or bad. Tendrils are the things that you will encounter on your life path. And hard times - well [...] we perceive what is going on in the world and we try to bring it to the public. "
Publication and promotion
The album was released on June 12, 2009 in large parts of Europe, for example in Italy, France, Austria, Spain and Ireland. In the USA it was released on June 16, in Germany on June 26 of that year. From December 1, 2009, a so-called Limited Box Set Edition of the CD was available in some countries.
The album was promoted with the help of the band's first world tour, the Jonas Brothers World Tour in 2009 . The tour includes 86 shows in North America, South America, Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean. During the tour, the Jonas Brothers also played as headliners in Germany for the first time. The concerts were very successful commercially, in North America alone the shows brought in just under $ 69.8 million.
