Demi is the fourth studio album by the American singer Demi Lovato . It was released on May 10, 2013 under the Hollywood Records label . On May 30, 2013 the album was released in Germany . It was ranked number 3 on the Billboard 200 in the United States .
background
Lovato recorded the album while she was a judge on The X Factor . She wanted to reach a larger number of listeners with the album, as the music could be viewed more as mainstream . Lovato made it clear after the album was released that the title Warrior should serve as a sequel to the single Skyscraper .
Single releases
Heart attack
The album's first single, Heart Attack , was released on February 24, 2013. It ranked 10th in the United States' charts , where it went double platinum. A music video for the single was released on April 9, 2013 on Vevo .
Made in the USA
The album's second single, Made in the USA, was released on July 16, 2013. In the United States , it reached number 80 on the charts. The accompanying music video was released on July 17, 2013 and is also the first that Lovato directed.
Neon lights
On November 19, 2013, Lovato released Neon Lights as the third single on the album. The song belongs to the dance pop category. It was ranked 36 of the Billboard Hot 100 and was in the United States with platinum excellent. A music video for the song was released on November 21, 2013.
Really don't care
Really Don't Care is the fourth and final single on the album and was released as such on May 20, 2014. In addition to Lovato, Cher Lloyd can also be heard in the song . The song peaked at number 26 in the United States . The music video for Really Don't Care was filmed on June 8, 2014 at the LA Pride Parade. The video includes Perez Hilton , Kat Graham , Cher Lloyd, Travis Barker and Lovato's partner Wilmer Valderrama .
