Confident is the fifth studio album by American singer Demi Lovato . It was released on October 16, 2015 under the Hollywood Records label and debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 .
background
At the beginning of 2014, Lovato announced that she was already working on a new album and that this should reflect her newly acquired self-confidence. It would also show a new personality of herself and no longer be based on her past. On August 26, 2015, Lovato announced the album on Twitter for October 16, 2015 and published the cover, title and track list.
Single releases
On July 1, 2015, Lovato released the album's first single, Cool for the Summer , which went platinum in the United States in September 2015 . Likewise, the second single Confident went platinum in the United States after it was released on September 18, 2015. The music video for the third single Stone Cold was released on February 23, 2016, with the song being released as a single starting April 4, 2016.
